Our Purpose

The organization aims to foster awareness and understanding of Sikh turbans within the wider

Australian community. This includes dispelling stereotypes and misconceptions associated with

turbans, educating people about the significance of turbans in Sikh culture, and promoting an

environment where Sikh children can confidently embrace their identity without fear of

discrimination.

In addition to turbans, the organization seeks to create awareness about Sikh Patka, a head covering

worn by Sikh children. This involves educating the community about the cultural and religious

significance of Patka, as well as addressing any prejudices or biases associated with its wearing. The

goal is to ensure that Sikh children feel accepted and respected in their schools.

The organization is committed to instilling the Sikh value of "sewa" (selfless service) within the

community. This involves organizing and participating in community service activities, encouraging

members to contribute to the well-being of society at large. By promoting a culture of giving back,

the organization aims to nurture a sense of responsibility and compassion among Sikh children.

Fostering interfaith harmony is a key objective of the organization. It seeks to build bridges of

understanding and respect between the Sikh community and other religious communities in

Australia. This may involve organizing interfaith dialogues, cultural exchange events, and
