Our initiative - Turban Love has always been an instant hit whenever we have held these events. People from other backgrounds admire themselves when decorated with colorful turbans. This gives us an opportunity to talk about the significance of Turbans for Sikhs and spread awareness.
With this initiative, we hope to spread awareness about Turbans and its significance for Sikhs among Australian community. We also hope to encourage our Sikh youngsters and teenagers to be confident about wearing a Turban.
Donating snack boxes for well being of kids, families and nurses at Monash Hospital.
Acknowledging the exhaustive efforts of nurses and the anxieties of parents awaiting their child's recovery, we hope to support and extend a compassionate hand to them with accessible and nutritious snacks directly within hospital settings.
In April 2024, marking Vaisakhi and Khalsa Sajna Diwas, the Melbourne Singhs introduced their "Turban in a Box" project alongside the release of a children's book titled "Jai Singh's First Day Adventure." This endeavor aims to empower and inspire young Sikh children to embrace and proudly share their identity, including their Patka, within their classrooms.
554th Prakash purab of Guru Nanak Dev ji was celebrated at Parliament of Victoria. Melbourne Singhs were blessed with Sewa for tying turbans on Members of Parliament and talk about Turbans and Sikhi.
